Supporting Student Archaeologists

For more than 60 years, the American Excavations at Morgantina has provided training and research opportunities for students interested in classical archaeology and the study of the ancient Mediterranean world. Since 2011 alone, more than 300 students from colleges and universities across North America and Europe have participated on the excavations at no costs to themselves, thanks in part to financial support from the FoM.

The Friends of Morgantina is proud to support efforts to create equitable opportunities for students to participate in fieldwork and hands-on research by removing the financial barriers to entry. By making a gift to the Friends of Morgantina, you are helping to ensure that archaeological fieldwork and training remains within reach for the next generation of young archaeologists.
